A slightly surreal comedy exploring the nature of the roles of victim and perpertrator and whether they are interchangeable.  Ideally, to be performed with Chicken and Mushroom Pie.

George Lamb prides himself on his amazing hearing and his ability to reproduce the sounds which surround him.  But did his mishearing of a single syllable many years ago lead to a murder and cause havoc in those that are nearest to him.

A
jaunty tale of murder, revenge and good protocol at the roulette table, Chips was jointly commissioned by the Komedia Theatre and Zygo.  It was produced as a double bill at the King's Head Theatre with Chicken and Mushroom Pie.  Both pieces were performed by Mike Goodenough and directed by Laura Baggaley.

Running time 30 minutes.

Henrik Ibsen (1828-1906)

"Before I write down one word, I have to have the character in mind through and through.  I must penetrate into the last wrinkle of his soul.  I always proceed from the individual; the stage setting, the dramatic ensemble, all of that comes naturally and does not cause me any worry, as soon as I am certain of the individual in every aspect of his humanity.  But I have to have his exterior in mind also, down to the last button, how he stands and walks, how he conducts himself, what his voice sounds like.  Then I do not let him go until his fate is fulfilled."
